The Delores Project is a low-barrier shelter for women and transgender individuals. We provide extended-stay, housing-focused shelter 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, where all guests are actively engaged in case management, working toward finding permanent, stable housing. We offer up to 1 year of community-based aftercare for all guests who have transitioned into permanent housing. Guests are expected to meet with their Case Manager twice per month, must follow all Community Agreements, and are responsible to attending all mandatory Life Skill classes.
Those looking for shelter should call us at 10am daily at 303-534-5411 to inquire about bed availability and complete a brief phone screen.
- We do not accept any walk-ups. Beds are only assigned by phone at 10am each day.
- We do not take referrals from case managers or other community providers.
- We do not serve cisgender men, families with children, or anyone under the age of 18.
After securing a bed over the phone at 10am, individuals will be required to get a COVID-19 test and provide documentation of negative test results before coming in to claim a bed. We hold reserved beds for up to five days to allow time for testing.
Those prospective guests who test positive will be immediately referred to an alternative facility and ineligible to shelter with us for 14 days from date of testing.
We are not able to hold or reserve beds for future days. Potential guests should call only if they are prepared to arrive that day.
