A New Home for Delores
A Permanent Home

Each night in the City of Denver, apprixamtely 778 women find themselves homeless and without a safe place to sleep. Currently, there are only 125 beds available for homeless women in our city. The overwhelming need for safe shelter for women is a priority for us and for the community. This need prompted The Delores Project to begin an expansion project that centered on developing a permanent, year-round shelter for more women.

The Delores Project began and successfully completed a capital campaign for a new shelter and expanded programs.

The Delores Project purchased an existing building and surrounding property from the City of Denver and on April 17, 2006 began construction on a new permanent home.  When construction and renovation are complete (estimated fro the Fall of 2006), Delores’ new home is a 8,100 square foot residential building that allows us to shelter 50 women with the capacity for an additional 25 beds for times of severe weather.

The Delores Project is proud to watch our dream of a permanent, year-round shelter with additional beds and services come to fruition.

Thank you to our many loyal supporters, donors, and partners who helped make our dream a reality.

Thank you to all of our Supporters and Donors who made this dream a reality!
